We are home. It was a long trip back from Texas but little Anya traveled very well all things considered. She has a whirlwind tour ahead of her. Lots of folks want to see her and she gets to go see who I think it going to be her regular doctor. We will be taking her to meet my coworkers today before going to the doctor and she will get to meet the rest of the family tonight.
We will be heading out to see the rest of the family in Missouri on Friday for the weekend where we are having a baby shower on Sunday.
I look forward to the rest of the family being able to see her and love on her but I also look forward to coming back home and really starting life anew with her in our home.
I already feel a difference in my outlook on things.
My wife and I have dreamed of the day that we could start a family of our own. After many years of trying to get pregnant we decided that adopting a child might be the path we were meant to travel. On July 29th, 2008 we were blessed with a beautiful little girl that we named Anya. Here is the story of our new family.

Hey, congrats the perseverance has finally paid off. You have a beautiful daughter. It's cool that you have lots of friends and family to love on her, but you're right, nothing beets those moments at home when you are settled in to just enjoy each other.
The best times of my life are when I'm just hanging out with Suz and Piper.
